(Compiled report) Kevin Tsai and Dee Hsu, better known as Little S, created countless memorable moments on Kangsi Coming (《康熙来了》). Even years after the show ended, many viewers still hope to see the pair work together again. But in an interview on Thursday (29 October) on Wang Wei-chung’s Hey! Where Was I? (《欸!我说到哪里了?》), Tsai gave no definite answer when asked whether he would co-host with Hsu again. Instead, he revealed that his memory was nowhere near as good as it used to be, and that he even worried about whether he could still handle hosting as he grew older.

Tsai also recalled the late entertainer Frankie Kao, whose insistence on appearing on shows despite being ill had puzzled him. He had even asked Wang privately why big stars felt they had to die on stage, and why they were willing to let audiences see them at their lowest. Wang had simply replied: “They’re stars.” It took Tsai years to begin to understand that brief reply. Reflecting on Kao’s story now, he drew a parallel with his own situation: “I understand now. You have to burn through your last breath on stage and become a burst of light.”
